Gifted Learners, Comorbidity, and the Importance of Comprehensive Assessments

As a parent of a gifted learner, it is important to understand that while Edcommodate does offer giftedness assessments as a stand alone, some gifted learners may face a wide range of comorbid learning disabilities, such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). 

While the comorbidity is not diagnosed in a giftedness assessment, if the test results, test scores, or the psychologist themselves feel there is additional assessments required, they will discuss this with the parent/guardians and invite the patient back for a full psychoeducational assessment, which is a much more comprehensive assessment.
